Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data countertopdishwashers.co.uk ("we", "us") collects, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have. It is written to align with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
countertopdishwashers.co.uk is a trading name of Websitesupplies Ltd, registered address 68 Lowshoe Lane, Essex RM5 2AP, United Kingdom, business registration no. . We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question, contact us at theteam@countertopdishwashers.co.uk — this is our data-protection point of contact.
What we collect and why
- Order and contact information — name, email, phone, delivery address, and order details you provide at checkout or when you contact us. We use this to process and deliver your order, handle returns, and reply to you.
- Payment information — payments are handled on the hosted checkout pages of Stripe and PayPal. Your full card details are entered on their secure systems and never touch our website or servers. We receive only a confirmation, the amount, and the last four digits of the card.
- Technical data — basic server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type) needed to run the site securely.
- Analytics and advertising data — only if you accept cookies. See below.
We only collect what we need, and we do not sell your personal data.
Legal bases
We rely on: performance of a contract (to fulfil your order), your consent (for non-essential cookies, analytics and advertising), our legitimate interests (to run and secure the site), and legal obligations (e.g. tax records).
Cookies and tracking
Essential (always on, no consent needed): a small localStorage entry that
remembers your shopping cart, and a record of the cookie choice you made. Neither
is used for tracking.
Optional (only after you press Accept on our cookie notice):
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) — anonymous statistics about how the site is used, and which products are viewed and bought.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ireland Ltd) — measures which ads led to a sale, and supports remarketing.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) — measures which Facebook and Instagram ads led to a sale, and supports remarketing and Advantage+ campaigns.
These tags share your interaction with the site — pages viewed, products viewed, items added to the basket, and orders placed with their value — with Google and Meta. They are loaded only after you consent, using Google Consent Mode v2, which is set to deny by default on every page load. If you press Decline, no request is made to Google or Meta at all.
Withdrawing consent: you can change your mind at any time. Reset your cookie choice and the notice will appear again on the next page load. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser.
Google and Meta act as independent controllers for the data they receive. Their own policies apply: Google Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy.
International transfers
Some of our processors (including Google, Meta, Stripe, PayPal and Vercel) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or an adequacy decision.
Who we share it with
We share data only with providers who help us operate, under contract and only as needed:
- Stripe and PayPal — payment processing.
- Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
- Google and Meta — analytics and advertising measurement, with consent.
- Delivery and fulfilment partners, to get your order to you.
We may disclose data where legally required.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, to meet HMRC and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them. Enquiry emails are kept for two years. Analytics data is retained per the retention setting in our Google Analytics property.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email theteam@countertopdishwashers.co.uk — we'll respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
